November 25–27, December 2–4, 9–23, 26–31; January 1, 20174:30–9 p.m.

Be sure to check out ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo this holiday season!

The event is totally free unless you decide to go on one of the adults-only Brew Lights night. Wander the zoo after dark and enjoy a warm beverage as you take in the sights of the season. It makes for a perfect start to an evening out on the town or a lovely evening in itself with the family.

Some tips to remember be sure to plan your trip:
-Go during the week to avoid the worst of the crowds.... unless you like that sort of thing!
-Take public transit if possible. The zoo does have a parking lot, but enjoy stress-free travel by planning to take the Brown or Purple line to Armitage and then walk about a mile west to the zoo. The #151, #22, #156 and #36 buses will also take you there.
-Don't forget to check out the ice skating over by the farm area of the zoo.
There's also photos with Santa through December 23rd, live ice carving every night, and (for grown ups) warm spiced wine and frosty beers!
Though you won't see many animals, you'll have a grand time and really get into the holiday spirit!

Me with the Wanderful Women Meetup group at Zoolights!
I recommended ZooLights to:
1. Families with small children (check out family nights on Mondays for added perks).
2. Date nighters (there is an adults-only night and Brew Lights night as well. Also, it's a popular spot to pop the question!).
3. People looking for holiday cheer!
4. Out-of-towners looking for a local's holiday outing.

Walking:
As much or as little as you'd like. Wheelchairs are available at Gateway Pavilion with a $20 deposit or they can hold on to your driver's license.
